This evening senior members of the club committee attend the Spelthorne Sports Awards 2019

This evening the Club Secretary, Fixture Secretary and Chairman attended the Annual Spelthorne Sports Award 2019.

Earlier in the month the club nominated our wonderful club secretary Mr Bob Parry for the Spelthorne Sports Volunteer Of the Year Award for all of the hardwork and determination he puts in for the club.

We are pleased to announce that after consideration from the sport council panel our legendary secretary Bob, has been announced as the 2019 Spelthorne Sports Award Volunteer of the Year.

As a club we would like to say a massive well done and thank you to Bob for everything that he has done for this great club.
He has been part of the club since 1982-83 and started playing at the club as a football player and then over the years progressed on to becoming football manager and within the last two decades has held the position of Club Secretary.

Overall Bob has been at the club for 36 years of the 100 year history of the club. I know that Bob has without fail been to nearly every single game that has been played for the club let that be either a first team fixture or a reserve team fixture.

When Bob used to work, (he's now happily retired) he would work a full days work going from 8am till 6pm every weekday and then when he gets home he would come in have dinner with his wife and would then sit down in his office at home and complete all things that were related to football to keep the administration of the club in good order, and if it wasn't for what Bob does for this club on the pitch and off the pitch the club would have the reputation it has today.

So once again from everyone at the club, Congratulations to Bob and thank you for everything you do!
