STAINES & LAMMAS (MIDDLESEX) Res/U23 (1) 4 CRANLEIGH Reserves (2) 3
Lamar Besidonne and Keith Dry saw their team continue their winning start to the season, thanks to a dramatic finish at Laleham, in a match altered from 2pm for administrative reasons.
A brace from Cranleigh’s Daniel Hallett swept his side into a 2-0 lead in the first half, but the home team gained a lifeline when Daniel McNeice pulled one back just before half time.
Young Harry Watson equalised in the 50th minute, only for Hallett to complete his hat-trick and put Cranleigh back in front. It stayed 2-3 into the 90th minute, but then Staines staged a remarkable comeback, thanks to two goals from players coming off the bench.
First Umran Sankoh making it 3-3, and then, with 4 added minutes on the clock, defender Michael Bonnah netted the winner, to send the team to top spot in the early League table.
