STAINES & LAMMAS (MIDDLESEX) (0) 0 LONDON SAMURAI ROVERS (4) 7
A team of largely Japanese players (including ex Staines Town Academy player Joe Iguchi) provided tough opposition for the First Team, as would be expected from a Combined Counties League Division 1 club.
A smart save from Owusu could not prevent Samurai from taking the lead on 11’ when Nakajima poached the rebound. Hashii made it 0-2 on 23’, and two excellent finishes from Enomoto (36’ & 40’) made it four by half time. Hashii completed a hat-trick with goals on 54’ & 56’, and it remained 0-6 until Pani added a seventh in the 2nd added minute.
An unfortunate arm injury late in the game meant that Leeks had to be taken to hospital.
