The second opponents were Bedfont FC (who have reverted to their original name, after several years as Bedfont & Feltham, and are now chaired by Jim Williams): their side included former Swan Cyril Ocansey and two sons of Tony Bersey (who is now Assistant Manager). Among the crowd was Frank Dotson who caught up with former team-mate Phil Ellery.

Bedfont wasted no time in taking a 1st minute lead as McCalman flicked in a low cross, but it was not until the 34th that Ocansey headed the second following a good cross from the left. They added two more in the 40th and 45th, Officer heading home the rebound after his own effort came back off the bar, and then Mampono netting with a simple side-foot just before the much needed break. Gashi struck the fifth through a crowded box on 57 minutes, but there were no further goals until a couple of sloppy ones on 80 and 83 minutes: First the defence opened up for Evans, and then Sennett’s angled shot went in off the ‘keeper. Leeks, fully recovered from his wrist injury last week, set up the home side’s consolation in the 86th, his good ball down the left reaching Jenom Nyam who threaded his shot into the bottom corner.
